Too often people look at their situations and give up too early. They have no idea, just when things get the hardest, this is exactly when that miraculous shift can happen. Whatever is in the way, will disappear.
However, you must believe this can happen.
No matter what adversity you are facing, it's important to remember the quote by Lawrence Peter "Yogi" Berra, a former American Major League Baseball catcher, outfielder, and manager who once said,
"It Ain't Over Until It's Over."
In other words, don't give up five minutes before the miracle. Whether it's your business, your health, or personal life, difficult challenges can make you feel like throwing in the towel.
However, this is the time when it's important to:
Turn away from fearHave faithRelease the made-up stories in your head Focus on the here and nowDo what is in front of you to do
By focusing on the here and now, you are able to release stress and anxiety. This is living Mindfully, in the moment. And, this is where you can find peace, clarity, and wisdom that you can tap into.
Taking the time to sit in the quiet, will allow you to see whatever is blocking you from your good. This is the opportunity to tune into your thoughts and hear those self- defeating phrases you may be telling yourself over and over.
Getting angry and upset over negative internal babble is not helpful. So, just let it go. Watch the thoughts like passing clouds without getting attached to the dialogue.
This is the way to live mindfully and it will help you to focus. Soon, you'll notice those self-destructive thoughts will come less and less. And, it's place will come solutions for you to rise up over any challenge you are facing.
In the current battle for the NBA Championship, the Miami Heat team is up 3-1 in this title series over the Oklahoma City Thunder team in Game 5 of the finals. Oklahoma must continue to play harder than ever. They can't give up even though sports announcers are claiming that no team has ever come back after losing three games in a row.
They can't listen to doubters or naysayers, because they will start believing they can't come back. They need all of their energy to focus on their game.
Whatever you are facing, keep believing. Refuse to give up. Know that whatever happens after you have given your best, your life is unfolding for your highest good.
Remember, "It ain't over until it's over." ~ Yogi Berra, elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
